Dec 21. Adding a mini to the stable for the Bolivian challenge. Want to help?
With the CMR decision to take one of these little pocket rockets to the Uyuni Salt Lakes for the Bolivian challenge, to start this project off, CMR has purchased one of the oldest 1959 Mini’s in N Z. Number 4323 off the production line.
This will be a proper NZ ‘KIWI CAN DO’ project with parts built by NZ enthusiasts from around the country who have offered to pitch in to help get the mini to the start line. The mini team will manufacture necessary parts and will assemble the car to have it packed and ready for the container bound for Bolivia in February 2022, racing Sept 2023
When Reg raced the Mini’s, he at some time held every 1000 cc & 1300 cc record on race tracks in N Z. So it appears there is some unfinished business
